How to Measure

Bust: Measure around the back, under the arms, and across the bust at the fullest part. It is best to do this with a bra on (not a pushup bra).

Underbust: Measure directly under the bust, around the ribcage.

Natural waist: Measure around the smallest part of the waist just above the belly button.

High Hip: Measure around the protruding points of your hip bones, about 3" below your natural waist.

Tip: If you do not have a soft measuring tape, use a piece of string and a ruler.

Questions

How do I know what size to order?

It is very important that you consult our sizing chart when selecting your size to ensure the best fit. Here is our size reference guide which can be helpful to see what some of our Shy models wear and see their measurements.

When will my order ship?

As a small team of two, we will process each order in our Santa Fe, New Mexico studio. Your order will be processed and shipped between five to ten business days. We offer $5 USD shipping to domestic orders, $15 USD to Canada and $22 USD to everywhere else around the globe. International orders are responsible for all custom fees. International orders may take a while to arrive to the destination. Please contact us if you have not received your package after 10 weeks.

What do I do if my order does not fit?

No worries! Check out our return policy here. We do take back unworn, unwashed, unmarked garments, and we also offer exchanges.

What kind of fabric do you use?

For our Buttery Soft collection, the undergarments are made using a unique, American-made textile that blends Supima cotton and TENCEL™ modal. Supima cotton is a superior type of cotton grown in the United States, known to be one of the softest and strongest forms of cotton in the World. It is GOTS certified, which guarantees environmentally and socially responsible production. TENCEL™ Modal is the most luxurious cellulose fiber, made from Beechwood. This material is unbelievably soft and silky, pairing perfectly with the durable Supima cotton. Because our garments touch the most intimate areas of our bodies we place the utmost importance on using natural, breathable, and soft materials. We are proud to work with a textile manufacturer where sustainability is at the core of their business.

Where are your garments made?

We proudly design our undergarments in house in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and manufacture ethically in Los Angeles, California. We partner with a family-owned, BIPOC-owned factory that pays their employees above minimum wage. This ensures quality over quantity, and also supports our collaborators in earning wages to financially support themselves and their households.

How do I care for my Shy Natives undergarments?

The best way to extend your Shy Natives delicates is to hand wash and hang dry avoiding direct sunlight. The next best thing is washing your undergarments on the delicate cycle with cold water using a garment bag. DO NOT use a dryer to dry your Shy Natives lingerie! The elastics in the bands will weaken and warp. Please hang dry.

What do you ship Shy Natives products in?

Our packaging materials are made of recycled materials. No plastic! Our baggies holding the lingerie are compostable. We do our best to be as sustainable as possible, especially when it comes to our products and packaging.

Where can I try Shy Natives on in person?

Right now, we do not sell our lingerie in stores, just online. However, we plan to participate in markets around the United States and do some exciting pop-ups! Please stay tuned via social media and/or our Shy Natives newsletter.
